Mr. Harkishore Kejriwal, one of India ’s foremost art collectors and patron, founded the HK Kejriwal foundation in the year 1970. The HK Kejriwal foundation gives grants to various institutions associated with art, education, medical and underprivileged children.

About HK Kejriwal |

Mr. HK Kejriwal was born in Calcutta in 1925. He started his career as a stock broker and then diversified into various businesses including textiles, mining, etc. A successful businessman, Mr. Kejriwal also posseses a deep passion for art. Besides inheriting a vast collection of art from from his father, Mr. Ramkumar Kejriwal,
Mr. HK Kejriwal has been an avid collector since 1945. His collections includes ancient paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, coins, etc. His collections date back to 3rd century B.C. |

Mr. Kejriwal is the co-founder and vice president of Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore’s most prestigious art institute. He has donated part of his personal collection to the 20,000 square feet, HK Kejriwal museum housed at the Chitrakala Parishat. His donation to the people of India was recently valued at over 50 crores (12 million dollars). His collections to the Chitrakala Parishat are showcased in four museums. |
